Yates Family Labradors is proudly based in Arlington, Virginia, and we love seeing our puppies stay close to home throughout Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, and North Carolina.
Today, the YFL family extends much farther, with our Labradors living in 48 states as well as Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, and Germany.
One of our favorite things is seeing littermates and YFL relatives meet up again later in life, sometimes completely by chance.
While we have a special love for chocolate Labradors, color is only one part of what goes into planning a YFL litter.
Temperament, demeanor, trainability, health, genetics, and structure all play an important role in every breeding decision we make.
Our Labradors go on to become beloved family companions, hunting and retrieving dogs, service dogs, working dogs, and, most importantly, someone's best friend.
Whether you live five minutes from Labrador Land or thousands of miles away, we regularly work with families from outside the Washington, D.C. area and will help guide you through the process.
No matter where a YFL Labrador calls home, they're always part of the YFL family.

We’d Love to Hear From You
Thank you for your interest in Yates Family Labradors. Whether you're considering your first Labrador, adding another YFL to your family, interested in training, or simply have a question about our program, we're happy to help.
If you're interested in a puppy, we encourage you to explore our website first to learn more about who we are, how our puppies are raised, our health testing, upcoming and planned litters, training programs, and the YFL puppy process.
Interested in a YFL Puppy?
Our puppies are American Labrador Retrievers, born and raised inside our family home in Arlington, Virginia. Puppies go home at approximately eight weeks of age and are currently $4,700.
Because we are not a kennel or pet store, we do not offer walk in visits or general puppy visits at our home. The first step for prospective families is to complete our Puppy Application. Once we review your application, Mark Jr. will reach out to schedule a phone conversation so we can learn more about your family, what you're looking for in a Labrador, and answer your questions about YFL.
We encourage you to spend some time on our website and visit our Facebook community as well. You'll find years of YFL dogs, puppies, families, updates and information that will give you a great feel for who we are.
Already part of the YFL family? You never need a reason to reach out. We're here for you for the life of your dog.
We look forward to hearing from you and hopefully welcoming you to the YFL family.
Family Raised. Purpose Bred. Supported for Life.
