Dogs have been at the heart of our family for nearly four decades. Inspired by the incredible conformation, gentle temperaments, and intelligence of Labrador Retrievers, we set out to build a breeding program that prioritizes these qualities at the highest level.

Today, Yates Family Labradors is a multi-generational program rooted in experience, intentional breeding, and a deep respect for the breed. We are committed not only to preserving the Labrador—but to continually improving it through thoughtful pairing, proven bloodlines, and a hands-on approach to raising every puppy.

Mark Sr. laid the foundation for what YFL is today, instilling the values, discipline, and long-term vision that continue to guide our program. His dedication created a standard that has been passed down through each generation.

Mark Jr. now leads the client experience, guiding families through every step—from the first conversation to long after their puppy comes home. He is highly responsive, knowledgeable, and committed to building lasting relationships with every YFL family.

Every puppy we raise is the result of intentional, multi-generational planning, extensive health testing, and a commitment to excellence. Our dogs are not raised in kennels—they are raised in our home, where they receive daily interaction, structured socialization, and the foundation they need to thrive in real-world environments.
