Yates Family Labradors is a family run American Labrador Retriever breeding program established in 2007 in Arlington, Virginia. For nearly two decades, our family has been dedicated to producing healthy, intelligent, confident Labradors with the temperament and versatility to become exceptional family companions, hunting partners, service dogs, therapy dogs and working dogs.

Our puppies are born and raised inside our family home, not in a commercial kennel. From birth through eight weeks, they grow up surrounded by our family, children, adult dogs and the everyday sights, sounds and experiences of a busy home. We believe those first eight weeks matter, and we work hard to give every puppy a strong foundation before they ever leave us.

Behind every YFL litter is thoughtful breeding, extensive health testing and generations of experience with the Labrador Retriever. Our breeding dogs receive OFA health evaluations and comprehensive genetic testing, and every pairing is carefully considered for health, temperament, trainability, structure and the qualities we want to carry into the next generation.

Most importantly, our relationship with our families doesn't end on take home day. From Family Day and puppy preparation to training opportunities, AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluations and lifelong breeder support, we want every YFL family to know they have a resource for the life of their dog.
