A Family Tradition

Dogs have been at the heart of our family for nearly four decades. Inspired by the incredible conformation, gentle temperaments, and intelligence of Labradors, we set out to create a breeding program that prioritizes these qualities. Today, our family strives to raise the highest-quality Labradors, blending decades of experience with a genuine passion for the breed.

Every puppy we raise is the result of careful planning, rigorous health testing, and a commitment to excellence. Our puppies are not just pets — they are members of the family, lovingly raised in our home to ensure they are well-socialized and ready to bring joy to yours.

A Message From the Yates Family

“At Yates Family Labradors, we believe that raising Labradors isn’t just a business—it’s a way of life that brings joy, companionship, and love to families across the nation. Since our start, we’ve been committed to breeding and raising Labrador Retrievers that embody exceptional health, temperament, and conformation. Every puppy is raised in our home with care, attention, and plenty of socialization to ensure they grow into confident, well-adjusted companions.

As a family, we take pride in knowing that our puppies not only meet but exceed the standards set by the American Kennel Club and the National Labrador Retriever Club. From our home in Northern Virginia to yours—whether you're in Virginia, Maryland, Canada, or even Mexico—our Labradors have a way of touching hearts and creating lifelong memories.

Our kids and grandkids affectionately call it ‘Labrador Land,’ and we warmly invite you to join our extended YFL family. It’s not just about bringing a dog into your life; it’s about welcoming a new family member.

We’re honored to be part of so many stories, from family pets to hunting companions and service dogs. Whether you're on our waitlist or a longtime friend, your trust in us means the world.

Thank you for allowing us to share this journey with you.”
